Senior Engineering Manager, Investor Services | Carta
Championed software for the venture back office. Immediately took over two teams, delivering solutions that automate
capital calls and quarterly/annual reporting. Founded and led a cross-functional, cross-org working group for replacing
a three year old orchestration system. Led grassroots developer productivity efforts, upgrading the global developer
runtime from host-based to a Docker-based solution, in less than six weeks! Personally developed workspace
migration tools and improved CI and CD pipeline speed by over 200%. Proposed and replaced the architecture and design
component of the Carta interview loop. Lead teams to build first-of-kind tax tools for fund administrators, including
high-leverage Form 1099 automations and Form K1 processing services.
Senior Engineering Manager, Resource Calendar | WeWork
Focused on consolidating redundant calendering systems across business lines at WeWork. Worked to guide and direct
lateral teams towards a centralized solution for bookings in physical space. Performed regular people management and
performance management duties. Joined just before the comapny filed its public offer, only to manage teams through
one of modern tech's most intense case studies in crisis management.

Scaled Omni from 0 to 1. Brought in as the first technical hire, migrating seed-round MVP to a production operation
backed by AWS. Led recruiting, interviews, hiring and retention efforts across engineering. Established engineering
management practices, including regular 1:1s, goal-setting and career tracks. Managed over 15 reports over the course of
tenure. Took time to pursue formal management education via Harrison Metal during this time.

implementations in several languages and stacks, with a primary focus in the LAMP stack. Notably

OverScroll | Touch scrolling for The Browser
A jQuery plugin and polyfill for
overflow scrolling
in The Browser. OverScroll is a complete reverse port of the scrolling experience
found in popular native mobile platforms such as iOS and Android.
Node OSX Notifier | OSX Notifications over HTTP
A NodeJS server that transforms HTTP requests into notifications on
The OSX Notification Center. The module has become
popular amongst individual developers who do self-monitoring of their applications.
Caldav-Go | A CalDAV Client for Go
A from-scratch, CalDAV (rfc4791) Client featuring
partial WebDAV and iCalendar support. Notably includes the only complete parser, tokenizer, and
serialization tools for handling the iCalendar format in Go.
Tockstalk | A bot that books reserverations, so you don't have to!
Implemented using Cypress/Electron, this bot uses a
config file to repeatedly poll a venue's availability on Tock and establish a
reservation on your behalf. All attempts are piped in to a remote Slack room for fun and profit!
TacionJS | Second Screen Presentations
Invited to Madrid to give a talk about TacionJS, a
jQuery Mobile framework for building
second screen
presentations on the web. Makes use of the fantastic, real-time service
Pusher.io to synchronize page control.
Truman | Deferred Method Calls in PHP
A pure, PHP implementation of an asynchronous message passing system and job-queue. Truman gives
PHP developers the only native, open-source job queue available in the market. Originally open-sourced
under RentJuice, now a subsidiary of
Zillow.
Airbrake for PHP | A Notification Client
A PHP client for tracking user-triggered errors in production. The client injects itself into the PHP
page lifecycle, and reports errors to a user-specified account on
Airbrake.
Hobby Work
Verbatim | Real-Time Closed-Captioning
An iOS application that creates a virtual closed-captioning network for events. Users may subscribe to
the microphone output of other phones, as well as caption writer output. In addition,
the app streams pictures from the source phones, allowing for a rich sharing experience.
OddJob | Real-time Micro Services
An Android application for requesting service or goods from local vendors. Operates at a micro-scale,
emphasizing immediacy and local availability. Currently in closed private alpha for user acceptance
testing. Builds available upon request.
FaceDroid | Facial-Detection Memes
A Google Hackathon
submission for creating memes on Android. FaceDroid uses a facial detection algorithm and the physical
camera interface to detect and super-impose Android faces onto photos.
Hype Machine for Roku | A Streaming Music Client
The first, and only, set-top client for The Hype Machine on
Roku. Client runs off of Hype Machine's private mobile API,
re-implementing much of the functionality found in the iOS distribution.
TrafficBox | Embedded Traffic Light Web Server
Source code and instructional documentation for creating an embedded web-server on an
Arduino. The server responds to HTTP requests to
control solid-state relays
in a modified traffic light. Deployed as a monitoring system for local continuous integration in Jenkins.
